Biography

I am not going to bore you with a conventional bio.
You will get an illustrated brief.

Here I am, getting out of a 20 feet crevasse

My German buddy was joking (was he really ?): "I should let you in. This way we may have one less Italian around." I was not very amused at the time.

Well, I did not fall. I jumped inside of my own willing.
Here is the proof (notice the rope):

How come, you ask ? I was at a mountaineering school and I was learning "ice technique". This was my second course.

The first one, "rock climbing" was more relaxed. Here I am at the beginning of it in the Italian Dolomites:

And here is an instructor

And here is the teaching

The scenery is breathtaking

I highly recommend the school (email me if you want details).

Ok. Let's now go lower. To sea level.

Here I am at the helm of a 30 feet sailboat

Although it doesn't look like, I am holding the tiller. Experts will notice that I am motoring. The main sail was set to minimize rolling. Little wind in Sardinia, at that time.

Here is my wife Pupi getting out of the water in Greece

The boat is a home made wooden sailing dinghy of English design, although it is sporting here a Whitehead outboard.

And finally my daughter Sara

But probably, all you want to know is if I am reliable.

I may occasionally be out for a week or a few days and you need to plan for the fact that I am away July and August either on assignment or vacation or both.

I do reply promptly all email when I am in. That said, you have only to contact me with any excuse and check for yourself.
